The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show and it's exhibitors have really stepped up to this new world of connecting and engaging. We recently were involved with a discussion about how the manufacturers will be able to show us the latest and greatest products they've been developing. It promises to be a truly immersive event using state-of-the-art technologies to allow us to engage as we normally would in person. We will be able to access experts live to ask all of our questions and some of the brands will be using Matterport technology to enhance the experience.  In this post we are going to share what we are most excited to learn and discover during the show next week! If there is anything you'd like us to keep an "eye out" for, please don't hesitate to reach out or throw it in the comment section below!

health and wellness focus

We are really looking forward to the expert panels and conversations that will be focusing on products and practices around stress-free and sustainable living, and the deeper connection with nature happening in the home. We've done presentations on this topic ourselves and are so happy to hear that it will be a focal point of the show this year. We are always eager to learn more about this topic and see how brands and manufacturers are addressing these issues for our clients.

connected living innovations

Smart Phone to Control Appliances
Connected Appliances | Sub-Zero · Wolf · Cove
"The need for increased human interaction, information access and a connection with nature are just a few examples of how connected living is impacting design."  This will be a spotlight of many of the lectures we will be attending next week. Incorporating smart systems and integration within the home and specifically within Kitchen design is one of the top requests from luxury homeowners.

high-design products

The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) held every year at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on the West Side, is North America’s major platform for global design.  This year they will be collaborating with KBIS to bring a selection of the globe's finest "edgy, unique, one of a kind, and compelling kitchen and bath products from manufacturers not typically at KBIS". Exclusive events throughout the week will be highlighting the individual makers as well as established producers all with one common focus on “High Design”.

We are looking forward to experiencing what they will be showcasing in Kitchen lighting as that is a vital part of design and a great place to add interest and individuality.

global perspective

Antique Emerald Globe
We've been loving working with our European manufacturer of the innovative metal kitchens we offer our clients because engaging in our design discussions with them gives new perspective to the space. There will be a "Global Connect Pavilion" at the show this year that will feature provocative programming including a keynote address on the Four Pillars of the Caring Economy, Behind the Brand talks, discussions on Euro trends and the European edition of the always popular Global Design Bites.  We are really excited for these sessions to expand our design eye for our upcoming luxury projects.

Cambria at KBIS 2021

cambria is launching 6 new designs!!

Cambria Quartz is our top choice when it comes to countertops for the Kitchen. Depending on the design, style and needs of the home and client we may choose a different material all together, but if we are considering quartz or stone, Cambria is always our top contender. Cambria is committed to sustainability and focused on their customers.  They are distinctively durable, non-absorbent, and easy to maintain. To top it off their countertops are backed by "robust service and support" and they offer a transferable Full Lifetime Warranty to future homeowners for the life of the product! Next week we are really looking forward to attending some exclusive conversations with Cambria experts as well as getting a sneak peak as they showcase their exciting new designs and highlight some ground-breaking product innovations.

Are you planning on calling us for a new kitchen in the next few months? If so, please feel free to comment below and let us know if there's anything you'd like us to keep an "eye out" for while we attend the show and industry events next week! It's never too early to start planning. Thanks for reading this and make sure to come back next week when we share the top highlights of what we found!
Hugs, Leigh & Tereza
