cambria's new colours!!!
A couple of weeks ago we were invited to a sneak peak presentation of Cambria's newest ground-breaking designs. We were able to share the designs with a few clients offline to prepare for upcoming projects but since Cambria has now officially made their announcement publicly, we are so happy to be able to share the gorgeous designs with you today.
One of the brand new ground-breaking colorways Cambria has introduced for 2021, which we are a huge fan of, is Emerald Green! In this new Ruxley design, it promotes subtle emerald green veining on a warm white palette. Those veins are pulsating in their intensity and saturation therefore making it much more versatile to match any tone of green from Emerald down to a lighter shade. Now, because the veining structure really is random and dispersed throughout the slab it's really easy to use this in many different applications. As you can see in the picture here, it's used on both the entire backsplash wall and incorporated into the custom hood design as well, so the possibilities are endless.
If you've been here for a while you will have read our previous posts or maybe even heard our talks around "Wellness in the Kitchen". Colour and specifically colour from nature is a really important aspect to consider. So, by Cambria introducing the rich greens from natural landscapes into their newest offering this lends itself to promoting wellness in our Kitchens. Keep reading as we are saving our favourite design for last. (Ok, feel free to jump down to that one, but make sure to come back to the others, because they are beautiful too!)
Next up we have Kendal. This design was inspired by the Agean Sea. This is using more of the teal family. You'll notice soft teal tones were combined and swirled with cooler bright white tones to create a marbling look in the background. To add depth and energy Cambria added in crystals with a little bit of silver to be reflective of the sea. Then to modernize Kendal they also added a cascading fractured black veining throughout the design. All together Kendal is a breath of fresh air from the sea.
This WOW design is inspired by the global fashion industry with it's amazing high contrast. It's also reminiscent of a black dark sky with a lightning storm throughout. They used a highly saturated black background and brought in high contrast super white lightning veins throughout. It truly is a #Showstopper You may remember that earlier this year the Luxury Cambria design Mersey was suspended. It was similar to Blackbrook in that it was a high-contrast black and white design, however this veining is a bit thinner which we actually prefer and the added bonus is that this new design is included in their Signature Series rather than in the Luxury pricing.
Speaking of Luxury, this is the only design out of the four which is part of the Luxury series and we can see why! We adore this new design. Ivybridge was inspired by Summer Kath's, (EVP of Design at Cambria) travels through Kyoto, Japan as she reflects on all the lush vibrant green landscapes she was surrounded by. To create this design they started with a bright white canvas and brought in the vibrant emerald green into the diagonal fractured veins. To really capture the magic of the temples in Kyoto they brought in just a little bit of a micro shimmer in gold to let it dance subtly and help bring this design to life, giving it so much energy. We are super excited because you may remember a few months ago we announced a few new colours for our Metal Cabinetry and since then we have been yearning to use the stunning green finish, and now we have the perfect countertop to really make it sing!
We've got to say that within this blogpost, many of the beautiful words used to describe these stunning slabs came directly from Summer! She has an incredible way with words and we wouldn't do these new designs justice if we were to alter her stories very much! Thank you Cambria for always pushing the envelop when it comes to design and innovation.
We do love all of these designs but we think Ivybridge and Blackbrook are our two favourites! What about you? Let us know which design is your favourite in this new showcase!
