Hi there! We want to start this post by thanking you guys for being so engaged with us on social media and in real life. It was pretty neat that this weekend we were asked by a few people if we were going to do our "Mashups" for the Oscars again. Well, back by popular demand, we have done a few Award-Show | Kitchen Mashups from Oscar Night 2018. We absolutely loved the fashion on the red carpet this year, which made it really difficult to choose which outfits to use. So this time around, we decided to pick a couple of our favourite Actresses and then did the mash-up based on the outfit they chose.
ALLISON JANNEY | KITCHEN FEATURING RED BLUESTAR RANGE
Congratulations to the beautiful Allison Janney for her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in the movie I, Tonya. We paired Allison with this kitchen featuring a beautiful BlueStar Range. Don't you agree that both these ladies look gorgeous in red?
SANDRA BULLOCK | STUNNING KITCHEN HARDWARE
Next up we have one of my (Leigh's) favourite actresses of all time: Sandra Bullock! We decided to pair Sandy up with some of our new favourites in Kitchen handles. I feel like she could have used any one of these pieces as the handle to her clutch and it would have been perfect.
NICOLE KIDMAN | KITCHEN BACKSPLASH TILE
Wow! That dress, that bow! Nicole always looks phenomenal and tonight was no exception. She looked absolutely amazing in her Armani Prive gown. We decided to pair her up with this iridescent Kitchen backsplash design.
BONUS: DID YOU SEE NICOLE CRASH SANDRA'S INTERVIEW?
JANE FONDA | CLASSIC WHITE KITCHEN
The talented and elegant Jane Fonda looked amazing on the red carpet. This is what we want to look like when we are 80 years young! Have you seen her Netflix show with Lily Tomlin: Grace & Frankie? If you haven't, you need to check it out. If you do watch it, please don't tell us what's going on this season, we haven't caught up yet!! We decided to pair Jane up with this Kitchen for a few reasons. Her hair reminds us of the moulding detail in the crown. Her curves (again at 80) remind us of the corbels on the custom mantle hood and last but not least both Jane and this Kitchen are timeless! Mom designed this Kitchen over 16 years ago and it still looks brand new.
THROW BACK TO PAST AWARD-SHOW | KITCHEN MASHUPS
Since we have a new blog page we thought we would end this post with some of the more popular "Mashups" from years before. These come from different award show red carpets including The Oscars, The Golden Globes and I believe the Grammy's. Each of them are MashedUp with a Cabinet Studio Kitchen with the exception of Michael Strahan. He was paired with a Granite countertop that we used in a clients home in Old Detroit. Please let us know in the comments section which "Mashup" was your favourite.
We hope you enjoyed this Mashup Post as much as we enjoyed creating it! Please come back to the Blog next Monday where we will be making a little announcement. Until then we encourage you to come over to Facebook or Instagram and connect and engage with us there this week. Also, if you know someone that's thinking of a new kitchen, please share our page with them. We would love to help them create a beautiful non-toxic Kitchen that they will love for years to come.
In the meantime, make it a Happy and Healthy day.
